2 Hydrogens and 1 oxygen. H20
Is water an ionic compound or a covalent compound?
the H-Obonds formed are polar covalent.
What is the shape of water?
Does not have a constant shape. Water forms droplets. It is a bent molecule.
Why does water stick to itself?
Because it forms the covalent bonds
Why does water not stick to or mix with oil?
Water is charged positively on the oxygen end and negatively on the hydrogen end. Oil on the other hand does not have a charge it is neutral, so the oil does not mix with water.
