Activity 2 1/19/2011 Weather and Bemouli Principle

Describe some common weather occurences in relation to the gas laws and characteristics we have been exploring.
Gases are compressible liquids. The atmosphere exerts a pressure on us by virtue of the weight of the atmospheric gases above.  Temperature relates to thermal energy held by an object or sample of matter, which is kinetic energy of the random motion of the particle constituents of matter. For a given sample of matter the temperature rises if average particle speed rises and not otherwise.

What is the Bernouli Principle, provide an example or application of this.
An increase in the speed of a fluid produces a decrease in pressure and a decrease in the speed produces an increase in pressure
Example of application: Airplane, vaccum, or a kite
